Human Organ Transplant Center located in Bhaktapur is the only specialist hospital dedicated to multi organ transplantation.
Dr Devbhandari is the Head of Department and Senior consultant in the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery. The department offers complete range of open heart surgery as well as surgery of chest and lung. The unit also provides thoracic surgery service to cancer patients presenting to Bhaktapur cancer hospital with suspected cancers.
The unit also undertake large number of dialysis access related procedures such as arteriovenous fistula, permanent catheter insertion, management of long term complications etc.
Dhulikhel Hospital is an independent, not for profit, non-government institution which was conceived and supported by the Dhulikhel community. The hospital was inaugurated by the late king HM Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev in 1996, as a collaborative project of the Municipality of Dhulikhel, NepaliMed International and Dhulikhel Health Service Association.
